LEGION After terrifying biblical apocalypse descends upon the world, a group of strangers stranded in a remote truck stop diner in the Southwest unwittingly become humanity's last line of defence. So is this what happens when God loses faith in humanity? We won't really know. The writer can't really figure out how on Earth "Legion" was ever created. The first time producer David Lancaster read the script for "Legion" was six years ago. Director Scott Stewart then had the script changed to make it scarier. Lancaster then thought that with the cast that was assembled, a director, and a good script, would make this fantasy/action film appealing to moviegoers.

On 23 December, a restaurant becomes the last bastion for a group of people after God loses faith in humanity because of their greed, lack of compassion, and ungratefulness. The 'General' to all angels, Michael (Paul Bettany) tries to help by coming down to Earth to protect Charlie (Adrianne Palicki) who is eight months pregnant and carrying humanity's would-be saviour.

The writer took a long time to understand the story, especially wondering why Michael wants to protect Charlie so much. This is because in the first hour, there was so much action happening. There could be certain quarters that might get swayed with the story. It must be stressed that this film is strictly for entertainment. However, there are some scenes that have been cut by the Censorship Board. The writer just couldn't figure out how the filmmakers could have such vivid imaginations as to produce this film. There is no need to wait for the birth of a baby to save humanity as God has already created many disasters to teach mankind a lesson. Without us realising, many have already happened. Wars, the destruction of the world, humanity lacking compassion, greedy for riches, and being ungrateful has already occurred. Imagine if humanity could meet with the angels Michael and Gabriel.

Having previously played priests and monks in his last few works, Paul Bettany ("The Da Vinci Code") once again is involved in another Christian-themed film. In "Legion", his character does not have a lot of lines but more action. Bettany had said in an interview that he was excited as his character got to wear wings. Other than Bettany and Palicki, "Legion" also stars other talented actors such as Lucas Black ("The Fast And The Furious Tokyo Drift"), Dennis Quaid ("G.I Joe: The Rise Of Cobra"), Kate Walsh (TV's "Private Practice") and Tyrese Gibson ("Transformers"). Their performances do not disappoint.

The CGI that can be seen in this film are convincing and do not disappoint, especially in the scene where humans are possessed and when Percy (Charles S. Dutton) is burnt after being splashed by acid till his spine could be seen. Other than that, the music that's included in the film also gives off a creepy dark vibe and would keep the audience on their toes.

You will definitely form your own opinion about "Legion" after watching it. The audience is advised to not think too much of the film and just enjoy the show! I rate this film as 3.5 out of 5 but rate this film with highest point for music score with 4.9 out of 5 - So to all classicals lover grab this music score from this film.

Note: Michael is known as Mikail (giver of good fortune) while angel Gabriel is known as Jibril (the one who passes on God's messages).

GUA TEMPURUNG

Deep within the jungle of Malaysia is one of the most majestic white marble and limestone towers called Gua Tempurung. Concealed within this limestone massif is an intricate system of caves of various dimensions honeycombed inside the limestone hills. This cave is metaphorically a breathtaking gallery of stalagmites and stalactites and other amazing rock formations which are superb speleological wonders found only in this part of the world.

Gua Tempurung, is located in Gopeng, Perak, and can be reached from the North-South Highway by exiting through the Gopeng Interchange (about 25 km south of Ipoh). You then take Federal Route 1 and proceed south about 2 km until Kampung Gunung Mesah. Turn left and drive through the kampung road for about 4 km. This kampung road can support heavy vehicles including buses. As you drive through this kampung area you begin to see the limestone hills in the distance. Approaching the caves is a mystical experience with the mist hovering above the hills.

When exploring the cave one would have to crawl to fit through the labyrinth of stalagmites and stalactites. Bats could be heard squealing in the high caverns throughout the cave lending a very surreal atmosphere to the entire experience. It's all pitch black once you're in the cave and having flashlight is a must to all. A stalagmite aged over 2 million years old stands majestically right in the center of the cave that will make you appreciate more the wonder of nature. At the base of this ancient stalagmite is a running river. Where pebbles from the river are so tempting that you need to get hold of them and keep it as a souvenir. When you finally reached the exit of the cave and you will see the sunlight filters down through the lush jungle greenery, with monkeys and birds frolicking all about, you are now truly in God's kingdom.

This tour takes you approximately 20 minutes to reach to platform 3 known as Golden Flowstone. You will be able to see the limestones that resembles a golden colour at this platform. Take a breather, snap some pictures and head back to the entrance of the cave. Total duration of this tour will take about 40 minutes.

This tour package needs a minimum of 5 adults that takes you 50 minutes to reach to platform 5 known as Top Of The World. It is named so because this location is the tallest in the entire cave. Total duration of this tour is 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Tour Time: 9:00am to 3:00pm everyday.

Wet Tour 3: Top Of The World and Short River Adventure

This tour package needs a minimum of 8 adults that takes you for a journey
of about 2.4km. You will cover the Golden Flowstone and Top Of The World after which you will be guided back to the entrance using the underground river. Be prepared to get wet as you walk along the cold and crystal clear river. Total duration needed for the entire tour is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

This tour is the most challenging tour with a total duration of 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete. You will cover a distance of 3.8km from the start at the entrance to completion through the underground river. You will cover all the three tours mentioned above plus going towards the east end of the cave and coming back through the underground river.

Gua Tempurung ialah sebuah gua batu kapur yang terletak di Gopeng, Perak. Namanya diambil sempena bentuknya seperti tempurung kelapa. Panjang gua ini mencapai 1.9 km dan dipercayai telah wujud sejak 8000 SM lagi. Gua Tempurung terdiri daripada lima kubah besar yang silingnya menyerupai tempurung kelapa, dengan setiap kubah mempunyai bentuk stalagmit dan stalaktit yang berbeza. Selain itu, setiap kubah berbeza dari segi suhu, aras air, dan kandungan batu kapur dan marmar.

Dipertengahan gua ini terdapat satu stalagmit yang berbentuk seperti gergasi. Memandangkan gua ini menjadi tumpuan pelancong, kerajaan negeri Perak telah memelihara dan memulihara kawasan gua ini supaya lebih menarik dan mesra pelancong. Gua gua kini dilengkapi lampu , tangga dan titi serta kemudahan awam lain turut disediakan. Bagi mereka yang suka aktiviti lasak, acara meredah sungai dalam gua turut diadakan. Selain menyimpan khazanah alam, gua ini turut tertulis dalam sejarah Malaysia. Gua ini menjadi tempat persembunyian komunis pada masa dahulu daripada 1950 hingga 1960. Manakala semenjak daripada tahun 1970, Gua Tempurung telah dijadikan lombong bijih timah.

Gua Tempurung turut menjadi lokasi popular untuk perfileman Malaysia. antaranya filem DUYUNG (dimana Maya Karin membawa Saiful Apek ke tempat simpanan harta karun). CICAKMAN 2 dimana Cicakman berlawan diatas tangga dalam Gua Tempurung dan terbaru yang bakal menjegah pawagam adalah filem RATU arahan Prof Madya A. Razak Mohaideen.

Gua Tempurung, boleh dikunjungi menggunakan Lebuh raya Utara Selatan ataupun jalan Persekutuan. Jika anda menggunakan PLUS, masuk ke susur keluar Plaza Tol Gopeng , belok ke kiri dan teruskan memandu sejauh 2 km sehingga menemui laluan ke Gua Tempurung di sebelah kiri. Laluan khas ini dibina bagi membolehkan kenderaan yang lebih besar besar seperti bas sampai ke gua tersebut.

Itulah yang terjadi... En. Fadil saya minta maaf bagi pihak Fendi @ Andi dan saya sendiri.. pekara begini terjadi diluar jangkaan. Kami tidak menduga sama sekali akan terjah ke Gua Tempurung. Seharusnya kami berdua kena bertugas pada 24. Januari 2010 akan tetapi disebabkan kesilapan teknikal maka kami tidak perlu bertugas pada hari tersebut. Pada mulanya kami ingin melawat Taman Herba di Simpang Pulai akan tetapi kami dimaklumkan ia ditutup kepada umum pada hujung minggu. Fendi@ Andi merancang untuk ke Ulu Geruntum, memandangkan kami pernah terjah ke sana satu ketika dulu maka kami bercadang untuk meneroka Gua Tempurung, sebuah lagi khazanah bumi yang indah.

Homesick - Halaman Rindu

Sesekali terdetik dihati untuk kembali pulang. Rindu pada mereka yang tersayang tapi apakan daya. Takdir penentu segalanya. Andai aku milik kuasa ingin aku terbang pulang walau seketika. Biarpun mereka bukan insan yang melahirkan aku ke dunia tapi mereka sudi mencurah 'chinta, kaseh dan sayang' Bila kerinduan hanya suara, sms dan gambar jadi penawar. Entah bila aku akan kembali kesana... Mom and dad I wanna go home.

Di tepian tasik ini aku sering bertandang ketika kesunyian dirumah. Bila aku rindukan Malaysia aku kesini dan bayangkan aku berada dibelakang rumah.

Parit

Pagi tadi aku dibawa ke pekan Parit oleh abang Ijat and wife knows as Ina @ Kak Ina and Fendi atau nama glamernya Andi (sejak berkenalan dengan minah salleh bernama Susan yang dia jumpa di Sam Poh Tong, kami berempat kemudian ketemukan sahabat kepada abang Ijat iaitu En. Fadil dan Cikgu Amir. Kemudian kami dalam satu kumpulan bergerak mencari posisi dan menerjah setiap sudut untuk mencari subjek yang terbaik. Malangnya hasil dari lensa aku kebanyakan 'terakam' dan menjana imej habuk yang dok dalam kamera.. maka terpaksaler aku edit setiap imej itu untuk menghilangkan kesan 'buruk'. Terima kasih kepada semua yang sudi memberi tunjuk ajar dalam bidang fotografi. Maka dengan itu hamba mempersembahkan hasil imej dari D60 - True Color bukan DGcolor.

Parit ialah sebuah pekan yang terletak dalam pentadbiran Majlis Daerah Perak Tengah yang beribu pejabat di Seri Iskandar, Bota Kanan, Perak Darul Ridzuan, Malaysia. Parit berdekatan dengan Tronoh, Seri Iskandar, Bota, Pusing, Beruas dan Batu Gajah.

Pada tahun 1979, Parit dikeluarkan dari Daerah Kuala Kangsar dan digabungkan ke dalam pentadbiran daerah Perak Tengah. Majlis Daerah Perak Tengah telah ditubuhkan pada 1 Disember, 1979 iaitu setelah diluluskan penubuhannya oleh Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan dalam perjumpaan Bil. 936 bertarikh 20 November 1979. Penubuhan Majlis Daerah Perak Tengah ini selaras dengan penyusunan semula penguasa-penguasa tempatan seluruh Malaysia. Dengan tertubuhnya Majlis Daerah Perak Tengah ini, maka terhapuslah dua penguasa tempatan yang wujud sebelum ini iaitu:

* Lembaga Pengurus Kerajaan Tempatan Luar Bandar.

SOLAR ECLIPSE 15TH JANUARY 2010.

The eclipse starts at the Central African Republic, traverses Cameroon, DR Congo and Uganda, passes through Nairobi, Kenya, enters the Indian Ocean and reaches its greatest eclipse.

After that it enters Maldives, where it would be the longest on land with 10.8 minutes of viewing. This makes the tiny islands of Maldives the best spot for viewing this eclipse from land. The annular eclipse at Malé, the capital city of Maldives, starts at 12:20:20 hrs and ends 12:30:06 hrs Maldives local time (UTC+5). This is also the longest duration of any city having an international airport in the eclipse track.

At approximately 13:20 IST, the annular solar eclipse entered India at Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), Kerala and exited India at Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. The eclipse is viewable for 10.4 minutes in India. After Rameswaram, it enters Sri Lanka at Delft Island, exits at Jaffna in Sri Lanka, crosses the Bay of Bengal and re-enters India in Mizorum.

Thiruvananthapuram city, which is the entry point of the eclipse in India, is equipped with telescopes and announced facilities for the public to view the eclipse.[4] Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, situated in Trivandrum, is analysing the atmospheric-ionospheric parameters during the eclipse. Many scientists have camped in the city to witness and study the eclipse.

Dhanushkodi, which falls on the central line of the eclipse, was a good place to view the eclipse. The northern most limit of shadow in India is Cuddalore, Neyveli, Erode, Kodaikanal, Madurai. Other prime viewing locations in Tamil Nadu include Thoothukudi and Cape Comorin, 22 km north of the center line. The only means of reaching Dhanushkodi or Kodandaramar Temple is by ST bus or automobile from Rameswaram. Reaching Dhanushkodi involves traveling in fish carts or 4x4 SUVs, after the end of the road. Governmental permission is required for entering the Dhanushkodi ruins from the coast guard post as that area is 10 km from the Sri Lankan coast. The centre line passes some 2 km east of the Kodandaramar Temple. The exact location of the line is between the NH end and the Dhanushkodi ruins. Dhanushkodi is about 2 km east of the central line. The degree difference is about 0.2 between the central line – Kodandaramar Temple and Dhanushkodi ruins vice versa. Dhanushkodi is about 5 km from the Kodandaramar Temple. After South Asia, annularity passed Myanmar and China before leaving the Earth.
