Since I was a kid I used to dream about this town known as Beruas . I’ve read books about this ancient city call Gangga Negara located in Beruas. Beruas (alternate spelling: Bruas) is a small town in Perak 40km from Sitiawan, Malaysia. In ancient times, before the area was known as Perak, it was a kingdom named Gangga Negara with its capital in Beruas. Gangga Negara is mentioned by the Malay Annals (Sejarah Melayu) and the kingdom covered present day Beruas, Dinding and Manjung in Perak. The kingdom was believed to be founded by Raja Ganjil Sarjuna of Kedah or the Khmer royalties around the second century AD. Raja Gangga Shah Johan was among the kings. The kingdom collapsed after an attack by King Rajendra Chola I of the southern Indian Chola empire around year 1025.

Tanjung Batu Agas, a place near to Lumut Power Plant run by Segari Energy Ventures (SEV). We went there right after visit Beruas and Ulu Licin waterfall. We reach there about 1915 where the sun almost goes down on seashore. Nice place with lovely beaches, also favorite spot for fishing. Leaving Tanjung Batu Agas at 2030 to Lumut for dinner at Bistro Waterfront.
